So many years after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 there are two words that come to mind: “We Remember.” We remember those brave men and women who ignored all instincts and ran into the chaos and danger to save their fellow Americans. As an average American citizen it can be tough to show our appreciation to these men and women in uniform. Simply saying, “We Remember” just doesn’t seem to truly depict how grateful we are to them.
This is precisely the goal of The Station Burger Co. Founded in 2011, The Station is an average American’s attempt to say Thank You to the courageous men and women who risk their lives every day to keep our country and our citizens safe.
When you drive up to The Station the first thing you notice is the big red fire-engine. Walking in, the walls are lined with pictures of firefighters and first responders. As you walk to the counter you will notice that service men and women are always given a 20% discount on all menu items; The Station’s way of doing their part in thanking those first responders. Finally, the burgers are juicy and delicious – some have bacon right in the patty – and the fries are addictive, food fit for a hero.
Along with the 20% discount, The Station offers up their thankfulness in other ways. ThisWednesday, September 11, The Station is offering an all day special. 343 firefighters fell in the line of duty on September 11, 2001. To honor those men and women who lost their lives The Station is offering burger, fries, and a drink for $3.43 so that when you take a bite of that burger fit for a hero you remember the 343 heroes that fell saving our fellow Americans.
So, we want to say Thank You to The Station for showing our gratitude to each and every firefighter, first responder, and man or woman in uniform. We truly do remember and never will forget.
